About Me

Dad – Marketing and Design Nerd – Photographer

Classically trained in marketing and management, I discovered a love of telling stories to others long ago. I enjoy sharing knowledge with and continually learning from others.

Origin Story: Born in northern New York, I moved to Texas to earn an undergraduate degree in Business from Baylor University. I was then recruited by a shadow secret agency to earn my MBA in Business and Marketing from the University of Louisville. I took a few years off from the business world to use my newly discovered mutant superpowers to fight evil criminal organizations and make the world a better place. OK – so made the last part up, but I really did attend Baylor and the University of Louisville.

Superpowers: Graphic and User Experience design. I am well versed in producing beautiful, useful designs that get results. I pride myself in combining the latest in design trends with an extreme focus on usability. Some projects include websites of all sizes, working for a leading healthcare organization for big data visualization, and print design projects.

Personal: I enjoy spending time with my family, nerdy stuff, music (I play both guitar and saxophone), the outdoors, and art. I live in Kansas City, MO.

I am well versed in the entire Creative Suite group of programs, and have served in a training capacity to teach other using Photoshop and Illustrator.

Microsoft Office

My experience with business support software includes vast experience in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more. This includes using advanced features include Macros and enhanced formulas in Excel.

Operating Systems

I am familiar and comfortable in both Mac and Windows operating system environments, and have served in technical support roles for Windows based devices.

Tableau

I have designed and built advanced Tableau Dashboards and Visualizations to meet data exploration needs, including one-off projects and large scale analytics deployments.
